My Mom is my unsung hero because from the moment I laid eyes on her I knew this would be a lifetime of love and commitment. Someone who would love me unconditionally, who would guide me through all the ups and downs, never judging me, always supporting me. A mother is the truest friend we have, when trials, heavy and sudden, fall upon us; when adversity takes the place of prosperity; when friends who rejoice with us in our sunshine, desert us when troubles thicken around us, still will she cling to us, and endeavor by her kind precepts and counsels to dissipate the clouds of darkness, and cause peace to return to our hearts. My mother was there for me throughout my pregnancy, guiding me as I learnt to deal with constant nausea, holding my hand as I threatened to miscarry, never giving up on this miracle inside of me, easing me into motherhood and teaching me that unconditional love is the root of motherhood, crying with me as I lost one baby after another, looking after me as I went through hours of labour losing yet another baby. I have my miracle child, despite being told I never would and my Mother has been that special bond, that glue that holds me together and I can only hope and pray that I will one day be just half the woman she is, someone who is loving, kind, giving and never has a bad word to say about anyone, always seeing the good in every situation and never losing faith!

My mom Nikki Katz is my unsung hero, she is my best friend, my rock, my everything. I would take a bullet for her. She is always there for me, a shoulder to cry on, a person to laugh with and share my most intimate thoughts. I could not have asked for a better mom. A truly inspiring lady whom I adore as well as the best granny to my two beautiful girls. I don’t know where she finds the energy to be the person she is. She can cook like a dream and I always get me bags, i love her to the moon and back. She is the most selfless person and is soo generous without ever asking for anything in return. The beggars by her house always wave at her when she drives past as she gives them bread etc nearly every day. I really don’t know where I would be today if i didn’t have my beautiful mom. I LOVE HER and the best part is she loves me unconditionally.
MOTHER (moth.er) muther ~ a verb : to love, nourish, protect, teach, comfort, guide, nurture, support, embrace, cherish, reassure. All the things my gorgeous MOM does. #ActsOfCoolness Would love to win this for her for Mothers Day!

My unsung hero is my daughter because she looks after me, drives me all over, helps me with everything and loves me unconditionally. She has always been there for me and without her in my life I would be incomplete as I have lost most of my family and my other 2 daughters are very far away. #ActsOfCoolness

my cousin, she struggled to concieve her own child and had 11 miscarrages, Eventual had one child but she raised about 21 children that are not her own. she worked hard to make sure they go to better schools and get educated. she just turned 60 recently and i was not there to celebrate with her. when i told her i won’t be coming she just said to me i know you wanted to be with me on my birthday but there are things we cannot help. So she is an inspiration to most people and even now that she is a pensioner she still go an extra mile to assist where she can help. she is always encourages the youth to go to school when she pensioned the department never even recognised her efforts but she never give up of the good work. Indeed she #ActsOfCoolness

My unsung hero is my mom. She is the kindest, most selfless person I know. She is the glue that holds our family together. She is always putting other people’s needs ahead of her own. My parents are pensioners, yet whenever there is a family in need of food or blankets, she is either unpacking her grocery cupboard or crocheting blankets. No matter how big a problem I have, I know that having her put her arms around me, everything will be ok. My children absolutely adore her, and I cannot imagine my life without her. I am so proud and honoured to call her mom.

My unsung hero is my MOM. She has been the most amazing role model to me; she has never steered me in the wrong direction, she allowed me to make my own mistakes without so much as an “I told you so.” She afforded me the space to grow and learn for myself without ever being so far away that she weren’t able to help when I needed her. She is my mom, my mentor, my strength, my number one fan and, most of all, my best friend. She has always been a constant force in an ever-changing life. No matter the trials she faced in your own life, she always found the means to ensure my needs were met. To this day I cannot begin to imagine how she did it. Despite all your heartaches, worries and troubles, she never lost her kind nature, she never surrendered her tenderness or sacrificed her values. When my heart aches, she know exactly what to say to pick me up and bring me back to myself. Whenever I have felt like our world is caving in, and that I am falling apart, it is her strength and love that have kept me going. I will always cherish the morning teatimes we spend together; the time we are able to relax into one another, to chat and catch up on all the goings on in our lives. I know that through her love, wisdom and friendship she has given me the ability to love unconditionally, to cherish every living creature and to treat them with the utmost respect and kindness. If I am able to grow to be half the woman that I see in her, I will consider my life a success. Someone who would love me unconditionally, who would guide me through all the ups and downs, never judging me, always supporting me. A mother is the truest friend we have, when trials, heavy and sudden, fall upon us; when adversity takes the place of prosperity; when friends who rejoice with us in our sunshine, desert us when troubles thicken around us, still will she cling to us, and endeavor by her kind precepts and counsels to dissipate the clouds of darkness, and cause peace to return to our hearts.#ActsofCoolness aQuellé On Point With Sandy Nene
