Artist To Watch: Nkosingiphile Fortune Khoza AKA Tyson Teezy

Tyson is a South african RnB artist and a dancer, born and bred in Durban Kwa Zulu-Natal.

Born Nkosingiphile Fortune Khoza, he is affectionately known as “Tyson” his stage name. Tyson grew up listening to the likes of Joe Thomas, Avant and one of his biggest inspiration’s Chris Brown, which then ignited his passion for music and dance.

In 2013 he was introduced to creative writing in the form of poetry, subsequently penning down his first poetry piece which later on lead to song writing. Though he attributes music as his first love, it was through dance that he was introduced to people and fans alike, with performances at his high school as well as other high schools on special occasions and events. During his time as a member of the dance crew Buckkingdom, he won a dance competition in 2014 called The Blackout.

In November 10th 2017, he released his first single “Jump in the whip” from his debut EP titled “PENETR8” which was set for release in 2018, earlier on the year February 18th 2018 he was called for a radio interview on D.Y.R (Durban Youth Radio) where they played his single “Jump in the whip” and on March 5th same year was invited on a Tv show on Craze called “Sistahood” for a performance & interview, where they now use the single “Jump in the whip” to promote their show.

In November 10th 2018, his debut EP titled “PENETR8” was released and later on the month the 24th he released his debut music video of his second single from the “PENETR8 EP” titled “Fine booty” on his YouTube channel, and set to release his second music video of the 3rd single from the PENETR8 EP titled “Ready” this year 2019 on his YouTube channel, this young budding multi-talent is sure one to look out for this year.
