Celeb Feasts with Zola Nene features some exciting personalities in February

The delicious and heart-warming Celeb Feasts with Zola show got off to a cooking start in January thanks to the award-winning, television chef Zola Nene’s fun, down-to-earth culinary inspiration and the fantastic lineup of stars she hosted in her kitchen. February promises more beautiful moments between famous celebs and their mentors, more easy-to-prepare, delicious recipes and, of course, many more laughs.

February kicked off with the stunning and full-of-life Generation’s star Denise Zimba with her mentor, the famous personality and brand manager, Solly Moeng. Mix Zimba’s playfulness with Zola’s inspiration, add a touch of Moeng’s powerful spice and you get a tasty three-course meal and a hearty show. They start off with a crowd-pleasing – crispy fried chicken and homemade sweet chilli sauce. The mains are a trendy Japanese ramen noodle bowls with pork rice balls – a meal that will ‘wow’ the most sophisticated dinner guests. They end off this wonderful meal with scrumptious salted caramel pancakes.

The charming Kyle Cassim, 5FM and nightclub DJ who commands dancefloors in nightclubs and festivals all over the country appeared last night. He brought his fellow-DJ and younger brother, Austin Cassim, as his mentor. The Cassim brothers charmed our chef and told her all about their lives as DJs, while she showed them how to whip up a three-course spread to impress. The menu started with mouth-watering smoked snoek pate and gluten-free crackers, followed by tasty braised lamb and creamy rice, and rounding it all off was yummy gingerbread chocolate pudding.

Zola Nene’s good friend and TV presenter Katlego Maboe is next with his mentor – and best friend, businessman Stephen Tsebela. These guys cook up a storm in Zola’s kitchen starting with stuffed homemade bread, succulent corn chicken and rice and milktart spring rolls. Of course, there is also wine and lots of laughs.

South Africa’s soapie-star Renate Stuurman, best known for her roles in 7de Laan, Isidingo and in Scandal hits Zola’s kitchen on 26 February. She brings her mentor Zimkita Sidumo along to create a fantastic meal. The ladies kick off with a great little cheese fondue, followed by hearty curried lamb shanks with fragrant rice and pickled vegetables. With red wine plum sorbet for dessert this meal is a master-piece.
